In this episode of Milk to Meat 101, we explore one of the most foundational truths of the Christian faith: we are adopted into God’s family.
What does adoption reveal about God’s love?
Adoption shows us that God’s love is:
🔹 Proactive – He chose us before we ever chose Him (Ephesians 1:5).
God doesn’t wait for us to “clean ourselves up.” He meets us where we are and, through Christ, brings us into His family.
🔹 Unmerited – We don’t earn adoption. It is a gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8–9).
We are saved not because of works, but because of His mercy.
🔹 Costly – Our adoption required sacrifice.
God gave His Son so that we could become sons and daughters. Jesus paid the price so we could belong.
🔹 Secure – We are no longer spiritual orphans (Hebrews 13:5).
In Christ, we have a Father who will never leave or forsake us.
🔹 Identity-Giving – We are heirs, not slaves (Galatians 4:4–7).
Through adoption, we receive a new identity, intimate access to God as “Abba, Father,” and the assurance that we belong to Him forever.
Before salvation, we wander searching for belonging. In Christ, we are given a permanent home, a loving Father, and an unbreakable relationship.
This is the heart of the gospel — not just rescue, but family.
Welcome to Milk to Meat 101 — building a strong foundation in Christ.
